We are Hammer-On, a husband and wife team based in Indiana, USA. I’m Cameron, the owner and founder. I have been 3D printing and designing for nearly a decade. I have also loved guitars and guitar games for longer than that. I have fond memories of playing Guitar Hero and Rock Band as a kid with family and friends. I have gotten back into playing guitar games in the past few years. I didn’t have a guitar controller when I first picked the hobby back up, so I decided to make one. How hard can it be? Come to find out, it was more involved than I expected. 

I found some free files for a guitar controller online and printed a tiny, ukulele-shaped controller. The first guitar was playable, but objectively terrible. I knew there had to be a way to create a high-quality 3D printed controller. So, after almost a year of designing my own files from scratch, collaborating with @Roadsidebomb (Polybar) on the neck, troubleshooting the kinks, saving money, learning how to solder, learning electronics, and many other things, I finally found my best guitar controller to date. I loved it so much that I want to share it with others in this gaming genre!

I have gone through many prototypes, and I am pleased to share high-quality, customizable, and frankly, gorgeous guitar controllers that are compatible on most platforms. It was important to me to sell something that I would personally buy. We started on Etsy and have, to our amazement, outgrown it!
