COMMISSION GUITAR OUTLINE:

Is there a guitar outside of our catalog that you want? Let’s work on it. CONTACT US to consult before placing your order so that we know we can deliver what you’re wanting! This page will outline all of the things we can and can’t do along with what is/isn’t customizable. We can do a lot, just not everything yet!

What classifies as a commission:

  • If the guitar you are envisioning is not achievable using the Online Builder, then that constitutes a commission. 

    • The Online Builder allowed you to customize almost every aspect of out guitar designs. Some things are not customizable due to either manufacturing restriction, or streamlining reasons.

  • Any request that requires me to redesign any part of the guitar also constitutes a commission.

  • Moving any electronics constitutes a commission. For example: Adding a dedicated starpower button; moving the whammy or start and select buttons; moving the USB-C port

  • Modifying an existing controller. For example: Adding F Holes; Changing the shape of the pickguard; Adding/removing hardware from a design; swapping a different headstock to a different guitar ;etc.

Customizable Parts:

  • Colors - Pick any color from our inventory.

  • Body Shape - Almost any body shape is possible to design, if you aren’t sure it’s something that we can do then please ask. 

  • Headstock - Feel free to mix and match headstocks or design your own. 

  • Hardware - You are able to select from Gold, Silver or Black hardware colors.

  • Fret Inlay and Board - Can be any color in inventory. The inlay can be selected from what we have or added by your request within reason. You may also request your own unique design!

  • Button and Strumbar - Colors can be customized with any inventory color. 

  • Pickguard - Add or subtract a pickguard from your controller. These can be any color and designs can be added. These designs have limitations since they will be 3D printed, so please be aware. 

  • Binding along the Neck and Body: you can add or remove the different colored binding along the edge of the guitars. Along the neck, there are fret markers along the side of the neck binding. 

Modifying Existing Guitars:

  • You are able to modify any of our designs within our capabilities. 

  • Mix and Match - If there is something you want to add or subtract on our existing catalog, you are able to do so. 

Non-Customizable Parts:

  • Electronics - The specs of each guitar must remain consistent! Switch type, board, and USB-C port cannot be changed. The neck buttons are mechanical silent switches, and the strumbar has clicky mechanical switches. This is what we have found gives the best playing experience and we strongly recommend sticking to these specks.

  • Colors: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Light Green, Blue, Light Blue, Pink, Purple, Black, White, Tan, Brown & Dark Brown are the only colors that are available at this time. To ensure consistency in color & strength, we use Voxel PLA Pro for all our guitars. 

  • Neck Length - Every guitar uses the same base neck design at 360mm to ensure consistency. 

  • LEDs - Every guitar has built in LEDs, these can be turned off in the software, but cannot be removed. The colors can be customized both in the builder and in our software on your computer.

  • Strap and Cord - Every guitar comes with the same strap and cord, we do not offer variations on these parts. 

  • Whammy Bar - Black is the only color for whammy bars at this time. 

  • Images and Content - We do not offer explicit or trademarked content as additions to guitar controllers. This includes things like political, profane, or religious symbols. No trademarked logos or designs can be offered on your controller. 

  • Intricate Designs - We cannot offer hand-painted designs or intricate printed designs at this time. - This includes sunbursts and some signature guitar designs. 

  • Guitar Scale: Our guitars are about Rock Band scale. So slightly larger than Guitar Hero controllers, but not life size. We do not offer life size models due to limitations of our 3D Printers. 

  • Wireless Controllers: We do not offer wireless/Bluetooth controllers and we do not have plans to offer them at this time.
