Clink the link below to access the Google Drive files for the Hammer-On Santroller Configuration tool.
This version of the tool is only for our V3 controllers which have an RGB strum bar. If your guitar does not have an RGB strum bar, this tool will not work for your controller.
How to customize your RGB LEDs
First you will open the tool and plug in your guitar. The software will detect the controller is plugged it, and you will click “configure”
Once open, you can change the brightness under the “LED settings” tab
You can change the pressed and release color of the frets and strum bar under each individual tab. There is a color wheel or a color pallet you can use to choose your colors.
Whether you have a Double neck or a Single neck controller, only customize the set of fret buttons and strum bar that are at the top of the list. This will update the colors for both necks and strum bars.
We do not recommend altering the 2 rows numbered 1-11 as this how the software knows which LEDs to make what color. If you alter these in a way that you cannot resolve, simply go back to the main menu and click “Reset to factory”
Once your LEDs are configured to your liking, click “Save Settings” and wait for the loading bar at the bottom to reach 100%. Then you can unplug your controller.
How to switch controller type
First you will open the tool and plug in your guitar. The software will detect the controller is plugged it, then you will click “Reset to Factory.” This will reset the Pi Pico inside.
3 drop down boxes will appear, the bottom one determines whether it is a Rockband controller or a Guitar Hero controller. Select which controller type you’d like to emulate, then click “Erase and Configure.” Wait for the loading bar at the bottom to reach 100%.
Doing this will reset any RGB customization you have done and any Whammy calibration as well.
How to calibrate the whammy bar
First you will open the tool and plug in your guitar. The software will detect the controller is plugged it, and you will click “configure”
Scroll down to find the “Whammy” tab and click on it.
To easily calibrate it, click the “calibrate” button and follow the instructions on the screen.
You will notice the reading for the potentiometer jumps around a bit, this is what the Deadzone setting is for. Make sure the Deadzone is large enough to cancel out this inconsistent reading.
Once it is calibrated, the bar should read “0” when the whammy bar is released, and when fully compressed should fill the meter completely.
When you are done, click “Save Settings” and wait for the loading bar at the bottom to reach 100%. Then you can unplug your controller.
How to Authenticate: This is only for Xbox consoles. XBox 360 however, no longer requires authentication.
- Plug the guitar into your console using the included USB-C cable
- Then, plug your Xbox controller into the USB port on the backside of your guitar.
- Power on the console, and wait until the player light on your controller stops blinking, then unplug the controller from your guitar and your guitar is now authenticated!
Fortnite Festival Mode:
- Simply hold down the orange neck button while plugging in your guitar. This will switch the guitar to emulating a keyboard. FF will recognize it, and all you have to do is rebind a few buttons in Fortnite and you're good to go!
